About Dr. Karaine Sanders

Dr. Karaine Sanders is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist.  She earned a Bachelor of Science from Howard University in Washington, D.C. where she completed a fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH); a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Forensic Concentration) from Widener University in Chester, PA. 

Dr. Sanders currently sees clients at her private practice in White Plains, NY and she has over 15 years of experience delivering clinical services, including: consulting, performing psychological evaluations and psychological testing, as well as, individual, group, family and couples therapy. 

Dr. Sanders has worked as a psychologist for NYC hospitals such as: Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Mount Sinai Medical Center.  While previously employed at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she held a faculty position in the department of Pediatrics.  Dr. Sanders also consults with local Westchester private schools, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), as well as, with attorneys and police departments performing forensic evaluations.  She has provided clinical supervision and training for doctoral fellows, interns, externs and medical students. 

Dr. Sanders has experience working in various inpatient and outpatient settings including: medical practices, community mental health facilities, state psychiatric facilities, federal and state prisons and residential treatment centers.  Populations, include: infants, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, and younger/geriatric adults.  She has served as the Co-President of the Black Psychiatrists of Greater New York & Associates.  Dr. Sanders has also been a contributor in articles for the Huffington Post and NBC News.
